Some updates:
Still cleaning up the resin master. Will need to re-sculpt some minor details mainly because they were a &*&$%@ to clean up and it would be easier to sand stuff off, cut stuff out, and remodel.
Tweaking the chest:
And got my soft parts from my tailor.
Need to redo the ribbed shirt to lengthen the neck seal, and add a bib of black ribbed material. Also need to redo the torso as the ribs should be horizontal in that area. Will also double the mesh layer and place a panel of it at the armpits.
Breeches are nice. My tailor has a lot of experience sewing WW2 stuff for the WW2 airsoft/reenactment group i'm part of so he got these on the first try.
Very nice! Do you have an OT Stormtrooper helmet you can take a picture of the Deathtrooper helmet next to? One of the things that I noticed seeing the DT in person at Celebration Europe (and one of the things I've seen a few people get wrong), is that the DT helmet is much smaller than a standard Stormie lid. Watching all of your work with great interest.
Please tell me that you're planning to offer kits for the hard parts. I've never really considered a "trooper" costume before, but this one just looks too good to pass up!
Updates!
Finishing the helmet is still ongoing (and apparently never ending. haha) I hope to have this finished by Thursday. We're also revising the greeblies.
Most of the armor has been prototyped already. The forearms and shoulder bells are being cleaned up. All that's left to prototype are the biceps, skirts, and belt boxes.
My british parachute harness also came in and it was a shame to cut a strap from that complete set for this buckle. But i had to do the dirty work. I was amazed at how close our prototype was even if it was sculpted using pictures as basis.
First test casts of the chest, back, and abs in black flexible fiberglass. Test fitting soon!
