Hello all, I have put myself in full Christmas mood by working on both my Secret Santa gift and this project. A Gonk Droid for my boss. So since I can't show off the Secret Santa gift I thought I would share this with you guys.

I work in the Audio Video Industry, and since I am a Star Wars fan I thought I would combine the two and present the owner of my company with his very own Gonk iPod Dock. It has a built in speaker, touch panel control, on-board camera, and local volume control. It is also made using several Audio Video parts and pieces to help tie in the theme.

I was able to make a considerable amount of progress today, but I must stay focused as both my Secret Santa gift must be shipped by December 15, and this gift has to be ready by December 13 for our company Christmas party.

It was a good day, I was a little surprised how far along I got with it.

Well did a bit more work in the Gonk. I still have the legs, feet, and stand to do but I am closer. As I mentioned this is for the owner of my company, and the company colors are Orange and Grey, so thats the reason for the color choice. At any rate, thanks for looking, enjoy!

So..... Did you get a christmas bonus? that is really nice i always approve of additional colors to the star wars verse. How did the legs and feet come out? I like the use of the storage bins for the body of the droid. I had seen a container at a ford dealership that tthey used to ship transmissions in a couple of years ago that would have been a perfect match, but i really believe you caught the esscence of the gonk, great work!
My bad, my etch a sketch just now showed the pics before i had blue boxes

Thanks my friend. The legs and feet were good. I used some parts bins from our warehouse as a joke cause the boss has purchased a billion, so that was funny.

Nicely-done. All of the GNKs in the original trilogy varied significantly from one another, and yours looks like it would belong nicely. Excellent details.

Funny, I've done what I thought was a thorough search for these bins to no avail.
Maybe fuzzual will chime back in on his source.
