So, I watched those video's about the build of the new proton packs for the 2016 movie and I took capture of a moment when you saw a 1984 pack next to some prototypes. And I forgot about it, until I saw the picture here. The hoses are the same, with the sloppy split loom over the red hose.

I wonder if it is the same pack. it seems too much of a coincidence. I was going to post this on GBfans to see if anyone could identify who made the 1984 pack Sony was using as a reference.

I wonder if they'll make it post-convertible for the electronics or if we'll have to wait for those to release before building.

I get that the suits are supposed to have been made using measurments from the originals, but the deal is most of this stuff you can find at an army-navy store for far cheaper. 300 dollars? No thanks. I'd rather search ebay or an army navy store for a flight suit for far less, along with the belts etc. I'm sorry, this is, in my opinion, ridiculously expensive.

they've got to cover that product license somehow. one problem with official products is the mark up. but yeah. and the material doesn't even look right. looks shiny.
