Zombie makeup help needed.. Kinda stuck on a project

Hey

Sort of stuck on a project I have been wanting to do.

I am working on making a life sized bizarro from Superman (comics), but the idea of making the faceted version from smallville is just insanity.

I thought "go with the original from the comics, where it's an imperfect clone/zombie looking one".

Great idea, as usual, but I cannot find a place online that offers up zombie makeup appliances that are just like the eyes/jawline sort of stuff. I am not trying to make a super corpse, just a more sunken eyed, pissed off looking reeve.

Any ideas on where to find this stuff, and when I do find it, how to mold it and cast it in resin? Latex is awesome, but I really don't want to use it on a statue.

Thanks in advance guys and gals
Chris

You could do the Silver Age comics version, where his face is basically like Superman, but has a blocky look to it. The you wouldn't really need zombie makeup, you'd just need to alter an existing Superman sculpt(comic accurate or Reeve, your choice). Once you have the blocky face, you'd just need to paint him white, do the heavy black eyebrows and hair.

There's this guy that was made as a 13" figure, but he doesn't really look that much like the comic versions I'm familiar with.

If you want the later, purple-suited version, it's more of a charicature of Supes, without the angular features, but still using the white face a black hair/eyebrows

When you refer to a "sunken eyed, pissed off looking reeve," it makes me think of the Alex Ross version. He's the one who looks most like a zombie.

Are you sculpting this from scratch? I would think the best way to start would be to do an open mouth and make the teeth poorly shaped and yellow. I always thought that for sunken features, you wanted to use dark paint/makeup. I have to head out for now, but let me see if I have any old notes lying around that are more specific.

You can try premade foam appliances or make them out of silicone yourself but if u have no experience with moldmaking, casting, sculpting...I would go with the premade appliances.

There's an FX company who's name I can't remember now but...I'll check.
