how do we program a servo? do we have to hook it up to a com?

A servo needs something to manage it. So in my case I worked out a system with an arduino, so you will need to code something for the arduino

Long time since last update.

I was working on several pieces, I tested my old legs and they finally was too long for me so I went back to the 3d design stage... And this is what finally goes out.

I´m pretty happy with the leg and the abs, so I hope you like it ^^

nice work... should have lots of room in those pieces for the undersuit. Looks like those cargo pants are pretty thick.

Zabana, love the progress... I have been working on a gauntlet for Halloween but I ran into a snag... I am using your hand files and have already pepped them, fiber-glassed them and painted them. I was looking at stringing the finger armor pieces together with the fishing line but there is not enough room to drill a hole through the sides. How did you attach the fishing line to the finger parts? Also, how did you attach the fingers to the hand and the back of the hand to the palm and to the hand plate as well. I found out the easy part of pepakura is making the parts... figuring out how to put it together is the hard part, lol. Please help me out... the deadline is approaching.

ps - actually I have a Halloween party tonight, so if you responded soon that would be great!

pss - BTW, I LOVE the hand file you did... so much better than others out there.

As you can see in pics my pieces was reinforced doing them with big "walls" and after y just casted them so they allow the drilling, in your case maybe is a good idea to glue them to a glove so they will not fall. And about the lower and upper hand another good idea is to fix them with velcro to the glove as well so it´s easy to wear or remove

Alright, thanks for the advice... I wanted to go for something a little more stable than velcro though... I think I have an idea that will work. There are these little brass tubes I can buy and resin to the inside of the finger pieces. I can run the fishing line through them... I think it will work. For the the back of the hand and the palm I was going to put a hinge on one side but I am not sure how to latch the other side.

I love your build, it´s soooooooooo clean!!!!

With the brass tube maybe the problem is that you will loose mobility...problem is that you already painted the fingers so any mod will damage it, if not I will sugest you to resin in the inside an small tube to pass through a fishing line, or you can try carefully to glue the fishing line to the inside with epoxy two compound glue.

About the palm I thought too about the hinge, it´s a truly good idea, to the other side maybe the answer is an elastic band or something like this that keeps it closed when you´re wearing...

Thanks for the compliment... I know the pics suck (cell phone camera). There really arent any pics of any finished pieces. The closest is the palm and the finger pieces on the string... but hard to see the details on those. It was raining all this week and I had no choice but to paint the peices so the paint job is not the best. But it looks decent. After Halloween I might go back and convert it to a 'battle damaged' gauntlet to cover up the bad spots.

Zabana menos mal he encontrado otro español aqui creia que era el unico pero ya veo que tu llevas tiempo aqui.

el traje esta DPM y si el mio se acerca algo estaria estupendo..

una cosa, podria ser possible recibir una copia del pep de tus guantes.. pa hacerlos en EVA que lo vi en otro thread que los habian usado u salieron muy guapos.

About the file, I haven´t the foam one, but the pep one is a few pages back.
