lm about to paint my armor and my favorite parts are the hands I got from you. They are amazing!!!
Hey Zabana,
First of all .. thanks for your hard work on the files, it really pays off and I love your model!!! I wanted the most accurate .. and you're it!!
I've built both your hand and foot (1 of each for now) and they look amazing! I have extra large hands, long fingers etc .. so I went at +10% of your stock scale, that makes it 100% for the hand and 100 index .. the rest of the fingers are to come but it'll be the same.
The foot was also scaled by 10% and I've got size 12 shoes. If I find a show that is tight all around the foot .. it'll be perfect!!! It leaves a little space all around for some padding if you don't want to use a shoe in there! The shoe in it's current pic state is fiberglassed inside with Smooth-On EpoxAmite! Very solid model!!!

One,
I plan to use screw rivets (I'm sure there's another name for it). One part will be stuck in the calf extension, while the other river piece will be fixed in the bolt joint. So that I can put them on, then screw them together easily.

SCALING:
By default, Zabana's files are at 0.9 for the hand and 1 for the fingers. Since I have extra large hands, I scaled the hand at 1 and the fingers at 1.1. Now, the fitting is not as perfect as I'd like, the hand might have been perfect at .96 but I won't redo that for now.
As for the fingers, the length is good but they're big around .. I might have to remove a strip before glassing them. A good solution for peeps with long fingers would be to print them at default scale and then add a strip in the middle after cutting them from the paper. I figured this would be like scaling but only on 1 axis ..

OR I could ask someone to modify the 3D model for long finger hands .. hint hint!Zabana, you got a PM!

And here's how I joined the parts together for those who'd be wondering ... Oh and btw, buying and receiving my Silhouette cutter just before doing those hands really saved me about 50 hours of cutting!![]()
