z6 riot baton

Hi all, did anyone hear if the various z6 riot baton projects were completed? I've been building one from aluminium for some time and the axle and lock mechanism has been stumping me. I've seen a few versions here and so far only Renegade Cow seems to have sorted it out. I've tried pull solenoids to no avail and a mechanical pin, lever, springs and bars, these seem to work but then the axle and stops hold me up. I did try to by one but although there a few printed versions out there they either don't swing out or just aren't for sale. My version can be found on youtube under z6 riot control baton, my version 1/3. Really only shows led set ups but does show some mechanism ideas,
cheers all.

I'm going to be carefully deconstructing my Black Series one to redo the swingarms and mount the holster hardware. Part of that will be carefully cataloguing the pivot mechanism so I don't screw up re-assembly -- also potentially tweaking it, given how many people are having issues getting the arms to stop where they're supposed to. I'm not, so far, finding anyone doing the same, but I have confidence it'll happen. *heh*

Yeah I had thought of that but from what I've seen of the build I'm afraid I'd break something and that'll be the of that. I've been on this project for so long I just cant seem to give up. I'll be standing at the rubbish bin and all of a sudden have a brainstorm, back at it again. I just think that surely some one's figured it out. My opinion is for the sake of movie making, there were more than one. One in the holster, folded, one that opened and flashed its lights and one, fixed open, for the battle scene. The Black series doesn't do it for me , I'm a TFA version fan and that's what I'm trying to do. Keep any results posted though , I'm interested. If you notice my profile picture, that's the one , the pic was taken from Liang Yang's instagram post and is him posing for a shoot with the baton, looks very simple ??
