Your Pulse Rifle collection Pictures

To Felgacarb just stick the battery in black shrink wrap!! You'll find it at any hobby shop that sells R/C cars and planes, it's used to make custom battery packs. You might be able to find it in flat black too!! Good Luck.

Hi, anyone know what paint gives the most accurate finish for the gun metal parts i.e. the thompson and spas 12 parts? I've already sourced the brown bess for the main casing.

Saw this thread so thought I would add some pics of one I built about five or six years ago, I am no longer the owner as I sold it on pretty much as soon as it was completed.

I just finished tweaking my Live Fire PR today. Some of the mag well plate screws pulled out of the HCG shrouds. I oversize drilled the holes and put in brass inserts. Nice and steady. I also added an internal brace to clamp the two shells together. Now the mag plates are purely cosmetic.

IMHO the most accurate finish is achieved with good old flat black paint. The end result is almost dark gray, like blued steel. For my own PR I used Tremclad professional paint, which is really tough to boot. Here it is:

image.jpgimage.jpgMy modded Matrix/Snow Wolf Pulse Rifle. Torn down, repainted, added grenade and trigger. Silver under paint for weathering. I also ground down the pump grip and added the double circle greeblie.

That is a nice finish, a really clean and tidy job, the only issue I'll have of buying that brand of paint is that it will be damn near impossible to find here in Sweden and to import it would probably cost me an arm and a leg. I'll pop over to the paint shop later though and see if they can get it in, thanks for the suggestion mate, I'm going to bear that one in mind.

I totally understand, since you're in Sweden and all. :p Like I said, any professional flat black paint will do; I used Tremclad because it's the Canadian equivalent of Rust-oleum up here! So yeah, you have to improvise a little. But the Tremclad stuff is only the best stuff I could come up with locally; do a bit of research and I'm sure you'll find the equivalent near you that won't cost you an arm and a leg to import. ;)

I've actually found the suitable Rustoleum paint I needed, I'm waiting for it to arrive at the store. Unfortunately, fixing that problem has led way to another one, I don't like the finish on the brown color I found, in fact I think it's fair to say I hate it :) So I need once again to look for a decent paint for that, I'm actually open to an olive drab finish now having seen some of the beauties on here. I usually use Humbrol paints, do you think the 155 olive drab would be a good choice or is there a much better alternative?

this is my modified snow wolf pulse rifle. it has a pps m870 in the standard gl cage with the slots drilled out and the pump grip slot in the bottom filled, internal 11.1v lipo battery sqeezed in behind the shroud, sd studios barrel vent, custom bracket, sling hooks, a repaint in ral 7013 and weathering. my first crack at something like this so I'm pretty happy with the result!
