Is that the Made In Germany IMCO 4700 that was rusty looking and you were going to try FLITZ polish on or another one?
I Iike the effect of the lit lighter on the photo.
Thanks. No it’s the Patent Made in Austria from 1937. The Made in Austria pre-patent one is arriving this week. I’ll sub it out once I get it. Still working on that Germany. Started hitting it with FLITZ rust remover first but still at it.

You could try some 1200 grit sandpaper on it. That worked wonders for cleaning up the silver monogram area of my Ronson Adonis Sterling lighter from Dark Passage (1947) after filing the initials off. I then hit it with Flitz to restore the shine and micro abrasions.

Finally got my Indy props in their own display.
I'm looking at getting a Hero grail diary. Is the one made by S'wak Props the only hero actively being produced today? The only few others I can find are story versions. I imagine the no longer available Magnoli ones are hard to come by and expensive. Any help would be appreciated to point me in the right direction of hero options so I can compare.

Its nearly impossible to get a Magnoli diary... I search for years now... I like the Swak props diary, but I liked the Magnoli diary even more...
Yeah, his are rare as he can not make them.
Sarednab's are awesome. I have had both Hero and Story.
Magnolis are obviously awesome. I had the chance to look over a freinds and it was one of the last ones made.
Serenity here at RPF makes an amazing Hero. His are not as well known, but awesome!!!!!!!
The best is modding your Diary to get it just the way you want it.
IMHO I don't like glued in insets. I know some disagree, but I like them loose. As many glued in block text and you may want to re-do some inserts to your own specs. I highly reccomend you request your Diary maker to not glue them in. That way you can play with and explore them, add, modify, etc., and then if you want you can glue them in.

The Magnoli inserts were glued in I think... I owned one many years ago, but sadly I had to sell it because of some financial issues. Biggest mistake ever concerning my prop collection.
There was another seller over at the COW, who made awesome diaries, didn't remember his username, but these were very close to perfect, but cost also a little fortune. But I think worth every penny...
At this time I haven't bought a new diary, still waiting of something special pops up. Sure, some users here have/make excellent diaries, but I'm waiting for the special one, what makes my little prop heart bounce like the Magnoli book...

His are amazing, but I don't think he offers them regularly?

No, he's doing a run right now, but it's a VERY long wait.
I remember a comment of yours saying his Diary looked like he stole the original out of Lucasfilm.
