I like it. Put some carvings on the wall behind it.
I decided to use a few jewelry cases I found online to display different themes...I use one for Indy stuff!
Most of this stuff collected here over the years, so nice to finally have them all in one place!

Yes, it was a very fun project. I got the files FREE here on the RPF. I had to buy a trimmer, hole punch and a little "corner rounder" thing to make them look professional. LOL. I weathered them with coffee.

Somehow the system keeps failing to inform me of new posts in some of these threads after awhile. I think I'm 8 pages behind... (sigh).
Anyway, for anyone interested in Marion's lighter from Raiders of the Lost Ark, you probably found out by now that the only possible one that looks like that she could have used in 1936, is the pre-patent IMCO 4700 in reality, but the 6700 (still made in the 1980s) was likely used on the film as they look the same if the handle is obscured.
I've been collecting IMCO lighters for awhile now due that appearance in Raiders and there's an interesting progression to be found between their various models while retaining the same essential cylinder body style along the way. I thought I'd share a little progression slideshow to show how it changed (there are some other minor change models to the 1000 and what not I'm not including nor the non-cylinder types).
In order left-to-right (or down) which is also progression by year
IMCO models :1000 (1926 version shown), 2200 (1930), 4700 (1936 pre-patent, 1937+ with patent), Dandy (1945), 5800 (1947), 6700 (1955)

I looked around for a long time, but landed on these from Displays2go | POP Display Products, POS Retail Fixtures, & Trade Show...
I don't think they sell these exact cases anymore, but there are a few other "jewlery display cases" on there. I paid about $800 per case.
I think this style of case does a good job of focusing on "one level" of display...sometimes multi-shelf regular cases get too bogged down with too much stuff, and people have to bend over to look.
I also like how the back can be closed and locked.
Yeah, $800 is a lot, but when you have $1000's in your props it does no good to display them in cheap cases. I wanted something that would give me a real museum and professional vibe.

I decided to upgrade my Belloq bottle a little while back. I felt the wrapper at the mouth of the bottle was wrong. The screen version had gold ribbons and mine were green. Plus my bottle had the wrong shaped mouth (with the bump further down the neck than it should) and the wrapper was pretty messed up.
So I got a bottle that more closely matched the screen version and gave it a shot. My first attempt at replacing the wrapper didn’t go that well. I tried just using regular paper labels and they came out pretty wrinkled. Even after I added the gold ribbons it still looked wrong.
So I found these shrink capsules on Amazon that are vinyl and specifically for this purpose. You just put them on, heat them, and they shrink tight. They came in today and worked pretty well.
At first I tried heating it with a hair dryer and it worked ok but there were still some wrinkles so I soaked it in boiling water and that did the trick. My dog Triton approved
Then I applied the gold ribbon, cut out the top and done.

Do you have the matching drinking glasses to go with it (Libby Duratuff 33)? I actually use some of them for drinking absinthe at home (I bought a box of 12 from a bar glass shop in Oklahoma that carried them; I only kept 2 for display (one downstairs and one upstairs) and kept 6 for actual use and traded the others for some of the harder to find glasses from Blade Runner 2049. I now have a full whiskey glass set from both Blade Runner movies and all three sets from Raiders (tent glasses, outside/inside bar when he thought Marion was dead and sitting with Belloq and Marion's bar shot glasses).
(Left) - Jack Daniel's bottle, Belloq brand Bottle (with wrong cork), the Libby Tent drinking glass (left)
(Middle) - The ULTIMATE drinking glass is under the bell jar
(Right) - Marion's bar shot glass and Sparklets seltzer bottle
Wrap-around to see Bell of Lincoln Bottle (which doubles as my Maltese Falcon liquor bottle since it was only seen from behind so it might as well have been and I needed the space to fit them all)...along with two insanely expensive movie lighters and of course, the stuff that dreams are made of.... All have real liquor except the fig liquor that should be in the Belloq bottle since Ohio doesn't have it on their liquor license register to import for some reason....(sigh)
You might consider setting the time on the watch to what it was in the movie when Belloq was holding it if you really want to go with some miserable detail prop precision (I set mine by the movie anyway, but then I'm nuts).
