Your Indiana Jones Displays - Lets see 'em

I decided to take another crack at this, found a wallpaper paste brush with 1 3/8" x 7/8" x 6" of body plus the handle. There's a bunch of manufacturers of these, so it;s just a matter of finding one with enough meat to cut down. Since we don't have actual measurements I figured this was close enough. To my eye is looks like a D shape rather than a true semi-circle. Unfortunately these only come with natural color Tampico bristles so I had to dye them, Rit dye didn't go quite as dark as I'd like but it is darker in person than in the photo. Final dimensions are 3 5/8" x 7/8" x 1 3/8", with 3 1/4" bristles.

Edit: this is what I started with:

Did a little reorganizing, here's a full picture of the whole Indiana Jones corner, with a surprise appearance by Captain America.

I honestly don’t have many Indy props these days. Trying to keep items to essential pieces. Mostly Raiders props as that’s my favorite.

The only things missing are the Gordon Gekko’s Grail, Hufvud hat, and bull whip. I also have Sankara Stone lying around somewhere :)

Love the box where you keep the Marion picture. What is it?

Stealing your idea, just ordered one, haha. Now I need to figure out what to put in it.

Coins, vintage mini postcards, real or fake money from around the world, small pieces of jewelry maybe Indy kept to remember a femme fatal he ran into in his adventures. Sorta like the lighter from Elsa ;)

I don’t doubt you’ll come up with something cool. Have fun with it and build a story around it.

It’s a pretty standard WWII backpack. Sportsman’s Guide has one that’s pretty close - search “Italian surplus backpack” on their site :)

Thanks, I've looked at it and it's quite different, the color, it does not have the leather straps on the front, it has a front pocket, it looks like a good backpack but not the one I am looking for, thank you very much for the information... ;)

Found a reference but they're sold out. Probably check a military surplus store?

Or this... But the color is off.

Thanks...

I know they are exhausted, almost impossible to find, I found this one but I don't know if the color just convinced me...

German army alpine rucksack A.K.A BW Gebirgsrucksack.
There was an extensive research thread on it at one point.

Your lower link (post 555) is the German pack used in Pacific Rim.
I use one as my EDC.

But where to find them and that they are original...???

Lot's of searching with random word placements.

When I was looking for the P.R. style it took me 2 months of periodic random searches to get a real German pack instead of a cheap Chinese knock-off.
I've been using it for a few years now with no signs of wear.

I ran across the correct Indy style about a month ago while looking for something else.

It’s also worth checking out the Indygear forum, some of those guys have exhausted searches on everything Indy
