Yoda skin texture

Hello people.
I am finishing my 1:1 ESB Yoda sculpt and I need your help.
How can I do an accurate skin texture? I am working with 2 components epoxy putty.
Please let me know your opinions.
Regards.

You might try pressing a damp terry toweling towel over the skin - this can help create the 'pore' texture.

This could be difficult because of the epoxy... if it's someting like Aves' ApoxieSculpt and you have a long cure time, it can be tough to know when to apply any texture or use any texture tools. I suppose to be more specific, you should state what kind of texture you're after. Do you want pores as well as the little bumps and lumps, or simply the creases and wrinkles (which would be much easier to work in)?

I think that I'd attempt to add texture to the skin in paint. Granted I'd try this on something else first to see what the result looked like but I think I'd "preshade" all of the creases in dark green then spray the base color light green paying attention to only "dust" the creases. then when that was nicely set up I think I'd dust the entire surface with a subltely darker green then the base but no where near as dark as the creases. The ever so slightly "mottled" effect should create the illusion of skin texture - pay attention to the areas on your own body where the skin color changes - areas like the joints - knuckles for example. and try to receate a subtle change in color using tones of green... Subtle changes are the key though... too much contrast and it will just look like a bad paintjob...

Thats what I'd try in order to add skin "texture".

You could find a real texture you want to replicate and get a piece. Then pour a thin layer of silicon over it, let it cure, and press the texture into the sculpt using the silicon like a hot oven pad.

Thank you guys for all your answers.
I am doing some test with a vegetal sponge (transversal cut) and a wet towel for pours (thanks Al).
Then with the appropiate paiting the effect can be improbed (thanks Jedi Dade).
I worked it in epoxy resin because I started it for me as a joke and it beccame a nice project and I am very used to it.
I will post pics soon.
Regards.
