Yoda ESB 1:1- Sculpture project

Hi,
I'm new to RPF. I love all the talent I have seen!!! Its truly inspiring! So this is my first attempt at sculpting a Yoda. I know, I know, so many have done so in the past, but I want a crack at it. I'm no Cyberman, but it's starting out well I think. I plan on a full body sculpture and paint attempt. I'm not a puppet maker just a sculptor. I'll update pics from time to time, hope you like it!

Damn, yoda has some bedroom eyes right there. Great sculpt so far!

Glad I'm not the only one to think it, but this sculpt is awesome, I couldn't sculpt a ball.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!... I love the Bedroom eyes comment, considering that I was starting the sculpt in my BEDROOM! HaHa! .. Also thank you for the praise Master Cyberman!

I got a chance to work on my Yoda today! Of course, my "Bedroom eyes" Yoda is more VHS than HD. I included a few more angles and a very, very rough full figure. The body is still in Armature stage. Enjoy!

sorry just joking, seriously though I have to say this sculpt is very impressive. One of the hardest things to nail in sculpture is a face of a recognizable character and I have to say you have definitely gotten it down. I cant wait to see what he looks like all textured up, the details are really going to make him pop! will be watching with interest

I think you're doing amazingly well so far. I like that you're giving him a little expression and character too. It's showing through nicely and I can't wait to see more!

He's got some arms roughed in. I also decided to have him standing on a stone similar to the ones Luke trained with in Empire.
