Yikes! Mel Gibson caught on tape and dropped from agency

Gone but not forgotten.
William Morris Endeavor has dropped a man who was once bigger than any other actor alive. Radaronline has posted a recording made by Gibson's soon to be ex and man it's down right heartbreaking. To hear Gibson spew that kind of garbage (as if he didn't learn his lesson already), you just want to grab the guy, shake him and say "STOP! You were Mad Max!, Martin Riggs! You made the Passion and Braveheart! We looked up to you!" But no, for Mel, I think it's too late. Go one over and give a listen - mind you if anyone younger than 40 is in the house you may want to put on earphones. Sad. i really really like Gibson. At one time he was my hero.

Wasn't this news last week or the week before - has it only just broken in the States or is it yet another new recording? Anyway, yeah - he's scum, I've thought so for a long while now.

Doesn't make me any happier to see the evidence pile up though. You're right, it's just sad as hell.

I just listened to it... yikes!!! HE didn't learn his lesson before, now I am afraid this is it. I think he has officially blown his career. No blaming this on alchohol.

This recording was just released and he was dropped today by Endeavor

Agreed. But I also agree with him that fake boobs suck. Had to go through with this with my wife, after our second child. Luckily she doesn't make enough to get her own and I wasn't going to pay for them. :lol

I use to be friends with Hannah Gibson (his daughter) and I met Mel a few times and each time was weirder than the first. The dude is nuts.

I'll wager a bet that she used his child support money to buy them, too - typical gold-digging skank.

But if I were Mel, I would have worked on my delivery, lol.

The thing about Mel - he's a chick magnet, and they go in *KNOWING* what a sleezebucket the man is, how much racist, Antisemitic, substance abuse, rage issues, misogynistic baggage he's carrying, but you know what? They want the red carpet premiers, the houses, the cars, the Chanel purses, the spotlight, the magazine covers, the "Us" feature on what they wear and where to buy it, and - oh yes - they want the Golden Parachute of child support once they "forget" to stay on the pill...

So while I don't condone his drunken rant, his racism, his anger issues, etc., he's living the life of many celebrities who can never have real relationships, because everyone wants a piece of him, and he can never trust how they feel about him.

I wouldn't trade ANYTHING to be Mel Gibson, Tiger Woods, Jesse James, or any other rich celeb - see how it all ends...

Dan

P.S. I've raided my hotel room bar a bit tonight, if I sound feistier than usual :$

I think this is an untreated mental condition, I really do. Hopefully one day he'll get professional help.

This is really sad. I know that a movie is a movie and not real life, but how do you make the passion of the ****** and then turn around and say some of the things he says. I will never spend another penny for anything that he is involved in.

I think it's called "fame" :lol

Cases in point:

Lindsay Lohan
Brittney Spears
Michael Jackson
John Belushi
Elvis Presley
1 out of every 3 child actors...
1 out of every 2 musicians...

Personally, I just think the ones with the weaker constitution simply can't handle the stress, public pressure, personal relationships, enormous wealth, trust issues, etc. etc. etc.

I don't hate Mel - I honestly pity him, as a victim of his own success. No more and no less than I would piuty a homeless person as a victim of his own character failures or mental illness.

I think that is BS. Don't blame it on success. It is their "God complex" thinking they are above everyone else because they have some success. There are plenty of grounded celebrities who never let it go to their head.

And not every schizophrenic ends up on the street, either. Fame, like any disease, can be overcome with lots of character, will power, and a solid support structure. Look at Gibson's "support structure" - a rabidly-Antisemitic fundamentalist father and many failed relationships and semi-orphaned children in their wake. Don't forget that nearly all the characters he's portrayed and/or directed have been saviors and heroes - that MUST have created a serious schism in his soul... It's impossible to live up to that kind of personal ideal in the Real World. Very few succeed - I can currently only think of Harrison Ford.

I wouldn't judge Gibson on the strength of a drunken DUI stop and a phone message. Has he actually ever physically HURT someone? He has shown contrition each time, and has tried to make amends, especially with Jewish organizations.

I wouldn't write him off just yet. Look at Robert Downey Jr.'s career - who would have believed in a *MILLION YEARS* he'd make ANY kind of comeback, let alone one this phenomenal??? And if you ask me, he was in a MUCH darker place than Gibson. It's all about character. I hope Downey will reach out to him...

Robert Downey didn't alienate people by his actions. The only person he was hurting was himself. Also, Downey sorta came back on the wave of his baggage - casting him as Tony Stark - a character that anyone who reads comics they know has or had problems, made the studio search for someone who fit the bill. I can't imagine Gibson able to do this - unless they make an Archie Bunker movie --- which, come to think of it, would rock with Gibson in it.
