YAFF - Yet Another 5 Footer Falcon Build

OK So have the Upper Starboard Deck finished and ready to glue. I haven't completed the pit yet, so that will come later.
While printing I have been working on the Upper Front Port Decks, so they should just about be ready to start printing as well.

This now means I can Finally mount my cockpit to the body - btw the files for Han Chewie, Luke and Obi can be found here if anyones looking for something similar

Tks for sharing information about crew...I would ask you!!!

Nice stuff - a couple of things hard to tell from the photo but I may be wrong you are best to load the .3mf files, and just change your filament and settings there. Looks like you are printing Grid infill (I could be wrong, but hard to tell from photo), best to use Gyroid with Bambu printers (Grid the head can tend to bump into the lines as they cross)
Lots of fun ahead.

You can post questions etc, and photos of your progress on the facebook group as well if you like

Cheers D

I will change the settings. What is the difference between using the 3mf file vs the stl ?Thanks for the valuable pointers Dazza :}
Just checked its running grid. I will change it

The 3mf files have all of the settings assigned as I had printed them, what need supports, what type of supports etc - and its a series of panels for each item, which makes it easier to keep track, nothing stopping you using the STLs if you want tho - they should be aligned ready to print.

Every major part has 3mf files, except for some of the earlier ones, but I will be remedying that at some stage.

Roger that. I will use those files then. Thanks Dazza

did you put some new stuff up Daz?...i see some starboard upper parts
Ah sorry yes I'm slack, the upper starboard fore quarter has been uploaded. Looks great too. Docs also updated on how it slots together
I'm just printing the upper port fore quarter, once I'm happy with that I'll load those as well this week.

I also had some issues pointed out with the frame parts that connect the docking tubes, ie DSL,DSU,DPL & DPU, which have been updated as well

Hey there :)

I realize that you probably just have things roughly assembled, but just in case, the mandible pit you have in that image is in the wrong location.

That one should be starboard-lower-forward.

This project is looking really fantastic though. It'll be great to have something like this being far more accessible to the average modeller rather than having to go through the kit sourcing and scratch building process.

Thanks for spotting that before I went too far.
