i found a site that sells the foam, i think.

im really skeptical if this is the same stuff, because you said you paid 20 pounds for a 2 meter by 1 meter sheet, and unless im missing something, there is a 41 foot by 27 inch piece for sale here, for 60 bucks

I'm pretty sure that's a typo - the others are 41" not 41'. Mine is 10mm thick which is nearer 1/2"...

When I've done the entire project, then maybe. For now I really want to get a finished version for me, so that is where my time is going.

Could you tell me what you have used as the neck seal in the first post pictures. It looks very good!

That is a Stormtrooper neck seal, which is there for want of anything better. I'll eventually be making that bit in foam like the rest, and then probably moulding it and casting it in latex or urethane rubber.

I'll have some more updates on this project soon. We've had heavy snow in the last week so I've not been able to go outside to paint any more pieces up.

Paint my helmet or anything! Is the stormtrooper seal something you made or purchased? It just seems kinda cool!

It was from eBay ages ago - there are a couple of different ones listed right now.

Yeah man grade A, your foam skills are great, makes me want to throw out these peped pieces, i love the detail you have gotten with the foam. looks so good.

Hey XRobot, how much would you say you spent making the mold and producing a cast for your chest piece? I really like the look of your rigid chest piece and I would like to do the same but I do not want to spend as much as the others do

The mould took just less than 2Kg of Silicone RTV, plus some stuff to make the rigid mother mould. The cast was a trial kit of Smoth-on Rotocast (65D), so you'd have to look at prices in your region.

Thanks so much for the speedy reply! It seems like it wasn't that expensive for half of the chest piece. Your art is amazing, I hope mine will be half as good as yours!

EDIT: I see 2Kg of Silicone for 75 dollars and a Trial Size is 25 dollars, you spent 100 dollars on just your chest piece? You are amazing!
