OK..I know this is a dum question but I have to ask a few..I want to detail a MPC/ERTL X-wing kit number 8918..I need to know..what size is it??cause I am looking on ebay for a better cockpit....what size brass tubes I need for the guns..cause lets face it they stink...what after market parts that I can look for to make this kit pop..cause it will look great in my office behind a glass case..all help is welcomed..thanks !!!

Just build it OOB. Give it a slap happy paint job and it will be screen accurate. They used this model in ESB and ROTJ as both background and hero models.

I never build OOB...plus this kit is from the early 80s and not the best for it..it is a far far cry from FineMolds...

I'm not aware of detail sets for that kit, but Voodoofx has a lighting kit. The guns should be easy enough, just take one of the guns to your hobby shop (or anywhere that has K&S brass stock) and get some tubes to match.

well the bad thing is there is no hobby stores in my range,so I buy on the net only..thats why I need the brass sizes
