Wrath of khan phaser prop and badges

Hi Guys

I am new to the world of replicas, i am a star trek fan and i own the starfleet assault phaser from Master Replicas. I recently pre ordered the HMS wrath of khan phaser (Built) and the comm badge collection from Roddenberry.

I wanted to ask u, do u have any info or pics i could examine for these products?

As i understand many of u here are professional collectors, i look forward to learn from your experiences, and to contribute some of my own as time passes.

I am sure that people will chime in with photos.. I can tell you that I have a kit of the WOK phaser from Roddenberry, it is very nice. In fact the Diamond Select toy of this phaser is based off of HMS's interpretation it seems.

The commbadge collection is nice too, if you are referring to the TNG era and later badges. Roddenberry upgraded the quality of their WOK uniform pins awhile back, so I can recommend those as well!

Tell me please, are these rod.com badges screen accurate? cause i ve bought way back some trek pins from hollywood company. They look nice, but they were cheap. I want to justify the 200$ i am gonna pay for the rod.com ones.

Well sorry, I guess that was not the reaction you were hoping for...but damn. Well I think I would say "no", it's not worth $40 per badge :rolleyes

I got mine as a kit, several years ago. I think I paid around $50 for the whole thing. The display base might have been included for free at the time. I see that badge kits are not even offered by Rodd.com at the moment, though "built" TNG and VOY badges are listed for $15 each.

Wow. So, yeah that's a lot of money for what you get. Sorry. Generally speaking, the quality of HMS/Rodd stuff is really good. I can't vouch for whether the badges in this particular set are from screenused molds or what have you, maybe somebody can chime in as to their accuracy. They DO look good, to me anyway.
