Wooden Wayfarers

I wanted to make wooden wayfarers. I wanted to know were I could get the lenses and hinges. Also does anyone have the dimensions of wayfarers. what would be the best tool to make them.

I've see lenses pop up occasionally on ebay the below measurements come from my folding wayfarers.

w:15cm total across front
h:4.8cm across lens
l:12.5cm arms
w:1.4cm at widest

sounds like a cool project, I would recommend getting an old cheap pair to cannibalize for parts. Or you could hit up an arts and crafts store for small hinges

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I just want the actually hinges from a cheaper wayfarer. the problem is getting the lenses in. I believe they are cut out a single block of wood. I also know of a good place to purchase exotic woods that I could get shaped into these.
