Wood sabers (Pics)

Hello everyone, like so many others I was lurking till registration opened up. In the last month or so I decided to make some saber hilts just for the fun of it. I'm a woodturner and wanted to see what I could do. They are 100% wood, assembled with AC glue.

I know they aren't screen accurate and I'm still working on a couple details and have now started my second Vader saber that will be much better, but it was a very fun project. I'm working on stands at the moment and have plaques coming as well.

I have also made a few Holy Grails, but don't have pictures at the moment.

Looking forward to participating after lurking for a few months.

Those are indeed quite cool - thanks for sharing the pics with us! I think these would make tremendous display pieces, especially set up next to the metal version.
