Wonder Woman cast

Lynda Carter is still tops. Also, Megan Gale looks far closer to Wonder Woman than this actress. Wonder Woman is one of the big heroes, she should be on the big screen.

This costume is all kinds of horrible. The 'metal' pieces look like dollar store plastic. The top looks like it came from a costume store as do the boots, the pants ughh whatever. The actress could have spent some time in the gym, Victoria secret models are hot but Wonder Woman is an Amazon not an underwear model. All the guys who have played super heroes in the last 5 years (no matter how crappy the movie) have spent tons of time trying to obtain the physique, why can't the female heroes do the same? She shouldn't look like a body builder, but I shouldn't be able to see her bones either

Apparently this was a changed costume, but it still looks like crap to me. Honestly, the whole ensemble, the girl, etc., it all looks like about the caliber of a higher-end con costume. For a con costume, it's AWESOME, but for a professional production? Not so much.

I honestly think that Wonder Woman is one of those properties that just can't really be translated to the screen effectively. You can't NOT do her outfit because it's so iconic. But if you do, it just looks...goofy. Lynda Carter looked goofy, but she was hot and times were different then, so it was accepted. But when we've got much higher quality comic book adaptations out there....this just seems weak.

Judging from the latest news from the DC/Warners folks, they're not only planning on making a Wonder Woman movie unrelated to the tv show, they're apparently also planning on making a Justice League movie. At least, that's what's making the rounds on the various comic book movie news web sites (superherohype.com, comicbookmovie.com, etc.). I HOPE it's true and they actually do it... at least I feel that way right now... might be regretting it if it happens and isn't done well. :p ;)

As to some other comments, I think the classic Lynda Carter style costume doesn't necessarily make sense but it has a charm to it. I still maintain there IS a way to keep the basic design but translate it into a good, serious, live action character.

For a movie, I think a design like this would work quite well...

I wish I was working on the show as an official nip slip counter. I'm betting they hit mid 50s every day.

I doubt it. I'm betting SERIOUS glue/tape and some kind of covers underneath the bustier. Or they just tell her to run slowly because they're shooting that in slow-mo anyway.

Now, see, something like THIS I could get behind. It's got the elements I want to see in the costume, it's practical, and it reflects her Greek origins beautifully.

Are you kidding? nipslips happen all the time while filming. I remember being on the first Pirates set and I'd say it took a week before I knew everything Kira Knightly had to offer - not much, but enough for me to enjoy it. Especially when she was in that thin white dress when she first sees the Pirates are ghosts - that thing was practically see thru. Now that I think about it - i can't remember one set where some sort of "malfunction" didn't occur.:love

Pics or it never happened! ;)

Yup, completely agree!

I will say the costume is definitely better with the changes made but I too agree, a leather top would continue to improve it.

And I agree, Lynda Carter is still and will always be Wonder Woman. I think she could still pull it off as she still is as beautiful as ever!
