Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Antman, thanks for posting those pics. If you don't mind me asking, what size is the heron x-1? And could you provide some basic measurements? Like length (bottom of collar to bottom of back), sleeve length, bicep, ect?

Regards,
Aeric

Hi here's the measurements
Length 26.5
Sleeve 26.5
Bicep 8.5 roughly
Chest 23 or 46

Hope that's enough never measured a jacket before

So I just ordered the Vanson X1 from Dan at Logan's closet on Monday messaged him on Facebook the same day, Facebook tells me he seen my message on Monday. It's now Friday and I have yet to here one word back from him... No shipping information, no confirmation that he received payment nothing. Not even so much as a thank you for your business...

I think communication is an issue at the moment try both email addresses on the site

This is the most common issue people have with Dan. He delivers an unbelievably amazing product, but his communication is practically non-existent.

its a real shame that nextleather have started selling it thems selfs, its more of a shame that in the UK nextleather sell it for £190 which is $290 dollars.

as for getting people together to add the dip to the back, i think we only got 3 people for it

£190 is for the fashion thiner leather jacket. The Bicker jacket is £195 which = $302.25. But when you add shipping to the US it totals at $325.50. Wolverinejacket.com sells for (after discount) $325.00 shipped anywhere. The thicker leather bicker jacket is the preferred jacket over a thiner leather fashion jacket.

Has anybody heard if wolverinejacket.com is planning on making any of the other jackets, like the X-1, X-2, or X-3?

From emailing Wade at wolverinejacket.com, I know that at the time he's not offering others. He said something about his current manufacturer (which I guess is leathernext) not wanting to make the other models at this time. He said he's working on trying to get a new manufacturer who would be willing to make them.

His Origin jacket looks great, I just prefer the X-1 and X-2 designs better. I tried contacting Heron about a X-1 jacket and never heard back, so I decided not to bother with them anymore. I have seen a few Heron jackets on here and they look great. I just wish someone other than Heron and Logan's Closet would make a nice replica of the X-1.

It might be worth trying heron again I contacted them using the form on the site and got a quick reply. The best x3 other than logans closet is availible from filmjackets.com as its by the person that done the film jacket.

Wolverinejacket.com is spending a lot of time on a web site redesign. I have been talking to Wade and if the new manufacturer works out, an X-1 jacket would be a big possibility. What works in it's favor is the design is not too far from the Origins jacket. Any fan boy should know the differences ;). Those are the two most wanted wolverine jackets, not many ask about the x-3 jacket (probably due to the fact the movie stunk) If you give it time and wait, I bet Wolverinejacket's will come out with a X-1. I would also be interested in one myself.

Thanks Solider, I thought the same thing about the X-1, both jackets are so similar and the X-1 doesn't have as many tan accents like the X-O. I would be interested in a X-1 as long as it is around the same price and the same quality as your X-O (which I really don't see being an issue). I bought a cheap Origins jacket off eBay a few years ago and that is really the only reason I'm not as interested in a X-O. Great point on the X-3 jacket, that's the same reason that I have never been interested in one. haha

Ask for less length.

I know I can ask for more length. My point was that the main pattern is too long in the torso. I would rather see a pattern that is correct in the features that then gets sized up or down for the customer rather than have to ask for alterations to get it more screen accurate.

Asking for less length can then lead to zipper alignment being off, etc. Best to get it on the money 1st and let the special requests lead to discrepancies.

I'm more for film accuracy as that's why I like this jacket. The torso being long totally alters the appearance of the jacket for me enough not to like it as much. Add in the missing dip in the back and it becomes more of a hassle to try to get it the way I'd want it.

Adding the dip in the back should not need 10 people to sign up for it. It's a minor change to the pattern and wouldn't take much to implement.

Are there any close up pics of the stitching detailing on the sleeves?

Again, looks like a nice enough jacket, just too many things off to be called accurate. Shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying their jacket.

I'd love to see side by side pics comparing it to the new Heron pattern. Wouldn't mind it going up against a Vanson either.

I would have to agree. I think the pattern should be screen accurate with other options available.

I am one of the guys interested but as you said I would want them to come out with a better pattern first.

I like that WolverineJackets.com is looking for a different manufacturer. Maybe he will be able to fine tune the pattern, get a better weathering technique so that you won't have visible strips, and take orders without having to get 10 people interested.

They have sizes on their size chart that range from 25" to 28". My jacket is 27" I'm sure they would have the zippers to accommodate between those sizes. So the zippers should not be an issue.

Wade from Wolverine Jacket oversaw the design and pattern of his current jacket. If the new manufacturer works out there will be a dip. Also a new manufacturer means different leather (all cow hide) Test samples for distressing, color, and thickness. (this would possibly take care of the every so slight stripe pattern to the distressing) I'm sure he reads these posts and is aware of the wanting for a slightly shorter jacket. If my jacket were any shorter, you would see my crack when I bent over. So for a shorter jacket it would need the dip to hide that, and that is why I believe they added that to the movie jacket.

May ask whether you work for Wolverinejacket? I have no problem with anyone promoting their items as long as it's out in the open. I just find it odd that pretty much from your 1st post on here you've been plugging and hyping these jackets. Plus the fact that the coupon code is your ID makes it appear you have a stake in it. If so, why not just say so? Or do you just really love the jacket that much? Just wondering.

Again, I have no problem with the jackets themselves, I just like transparency with vendors. Is there a reason Wade doesn't chime in if he does indeed read these posts?

My preference (along with many others) has always been to get the specs to match the original and then tweak from there per individual customers. A lot of us just want it for displays. Being wearable is a plus if you're the right size. If not having it scaled to match your size is the next best option.

Some have longer torsos (like yourself) and will want it adjusted. I happen to have the same dimensions as Hugh so the original true length works. But it should be up to the purchaser to get the alterations tailored to them rather than the purchaser getting it altered to be screen accurate.

This should be much easier with jacket sizings 42,44,46 in addition to the normal adjustments inherent in 42L,44L, etc.

I'm truly looking forward to what is ahead for this line and see where it goes. I've grilled everyone making these to get as much info on specs as possible. The Vanson XO version I know is based off screen used specs as they were examined and measured on the film set. That kind of set a benchmark for sizing and accuracy which is my preference.

Can't wait to see samples from the new vendor when they become available.

If anyone owns a wested X-1 what is it like and do they do an X-2 I know Heron does nice replicas of both but it took over 2 months for my XO one to arrive and that was straight of the shelf lol

Hi
I don't own one but from research I don't think that wested do an x2 unfortunately

No I don't work at or for Wolverine jacket. I was just extremely impressed by the quality. I had a lot of contact with Wade over e-mail and decided to try and help spread the word. I had a bad experience with the first Wolvy jacket I ordered and just though I could help others that are looking for a real nice Wolvy jacket out. Since I was promoting the jacket so much Wade gave me the promo code to offer. Also I was already attending the Comic convention in April, I thought I could help with getting the jacket out there. It seems like Myself and antman84 are the only ones that actually have the jacket. So I guess I'm not doing that good of job convincing anyone of the awesomeness :(
