It has been a while since I built a plastic model and I have had this kit setting around for several years.

Over the past couple days I have assembled the fuselage and wings.

I need to sand the leading and trailing edges of the wings and then I will glue them on and fill in the gap between them.

I'll post updates as I go along.

Build this B-52 as one of the birds from "Dr. Strangelove: Or, How I Learned To Quit Worrying And Love The Bomb", and you will have a movie connection for your modeling effort.

I have the ESCI version of this thing in my kit stash.
I bought it only because a 1/72 BUFF is an impressive piece of plastic!
I haven't found the right excuse to build it, yet.

In Dr. Strangelove it was a B-52G (Short Tail) I think.
Cold War Silver and White.

I think AMT made a 1/72 G Model.

Scot,

Will watch your progress. Almost got my hands on the version of this model with the X-15 but it was too valuable so it was sold off. Oh well. Like i have the time right now....

Sorry I haven't posted progress in a while.
I have been working my co-op job and remodeling my Barbers shop.
Putting wood paneling on the walls.
I will post updates as soon as I can.

I'm pretty sure that one or both of the original NASA carrier aircraft are there.
If you see them snap a few photos!

Always liked this working horse

Especially the NASA version with all the mission markings

Will watch your progress with big interest

Well, its been a while since I posted an update on this B-52.

Here she is with the camo painted.
She needs her gloss black underside.

I masked off all the windows with bare metal foil and once she's finished I'll remove the masking.
