This is my 1/32 scale Monogram Blue Thunder I recently completed. I have 4 SMD LEDs in the cockpit lighting the screens, 1 LED behind the rear wall lighting a few fibers, working side search lights, and flashing navigation lights around the exterior. I really enjoyed doing this build. I've had this kit for quite a while sitting on the shelf because I've always loved the movie and helicopter so much. The first couple of photos I took on my balcony against the real sky, then just removed the base.

Very nice, indeed! I especially like the 'heated metal' treatment of the exhaust tube and how effective the lighting is.

If it is the Monogram kit, it is actually a 1/32 scale kit (Blue Thunder, Monogram 6036 (1984)). Aoshima also produced one, but in 1/48 scale. I'd figure the 1/32 model would be simplier to install with lighting... your build gives a very close impression of scenes from the movie (lots of fun helo flying action in that one!)

Cheers! Robert
