I figured with the endless wealth of knowledge on this board, someone would be able to help me out with this.:thumbsup Does anyone have any decent reference pictures of the brigandine (vest of leather plates) that William Wallace wore for the majority of the movie Braveheart? I've scoured the net over and still can't find but about three fairly decent quality pictures.
Even pictures of similar brigandines that some of you may own would be nice, I'm just looking for something historically accurate (which I know Braveheart wasn't :lol) to study for good reference.
I've just started to get my feet wet in leather working, so I also wasn't sure what weight of leather I should start off with for the base vest, so if anyone wants to chime in on that, I'd be mighty appreciative.
Anyway, thanks for looking and for any advice given.
