whos going to play SW The Old Republic?

I'm thinking about it. I played Galaxies and let's just say the wife didn't care for all the time I was spending playing it. We'll see. Have they released the tech specs yet of what your machine will need to play it?

I will be getting on it. I used to play galaxies but after the combat upgrade I couldn't do much of anything . Hopefully this one will be more class balanced. I'll definitely going sith. Everyone loves the bad guy lol

Part of me wants to, but the other part says I'll never pay for a game more than once. It looks really cool, but I can't see paying $60 and then $15-20 more every month. Plus I probably won't have time once Battlefield 3 comes out!

I was a launch day, til CU2 player for Galaxies. That game was a system killer. They have not released the specs for this one yet.

Is this all going to be real time, or is it like Knights where you pause, choose actions then resume and watch it play out?

Being an MMO, I'm assuming it'll be real time. Not sure how the pause-style they had for the originals would work in an MMO environment.

Also not sure if I'll play, mainly due to cost and time. If they offer a $10 per month plan, or even better, a life-time sub, I'll be intrigued. Between jobs, kid(s), a move, and career change all happening in the next few years, not sure how much free time I'll have.

If it was a F2P with upgrades for those who subscribe, kind of like Lord Of The Rings Online, I might consider it. But I'd feel bad if I didn't play for like two months. I just can't seem to get into subscription based games. Definitely looks cool though.

i was a master tailor and a master ranger until the CU ruined the game.

I'd been playing the SWG pre-CU EMU until the server wipe last year. I have hope that TOR will be fun, but as i was principally a crafter, i'm not sure how this will work in TOR.

I found the stats and materials in crafting so immerse and challenging... i hope that TOR is more than just ME / DAO with SW skin on it...

SWG definitely had a great noncombat class system. The doctor buffs came in handy especially during the warren mission. I had a carbiner and was pretty much on the way to being a jedi. But the combat upgrade killed the game for me.
