You can buy an ALPS printer, I've heard there the best and have one (i never used it) I would be willing to sell.

I've used Bedlam Creations and been happy with the results:

We had to get logos printed that were 1.5" wide and less than 1/2" tall. Came out crisp and clear and worked great for our product.

Question about waterslide decals: If I use the decalpaper.com material, will the inkjet inks stand up to sun exposure? I want to make a couple of fender graphics for my ratwagon, and it lives outside all the time; I could hand-paint them, but I like the idea of using AI or PS to make the design; if I spray them with a UV sealer of some type, will that work?

You'd be better off having them printed on vinyl and applying those to the car.

Rob - What Servo said, 7-year vinyl decals would be your best bet.

Though depending on the design, if you wanted it to look like "part of the car" (which decals do better than vinyl), you could get negatives cut in vinyl, and use them as a stencil and paint your design on.
