Hi I would love some RPF community input I have a Delima I can only keep one as the wife hit the roof with my latest purchase , I was lucky enough to come across a friend of a friend selling 2 Mando helmets 1st is the EFX PCR helmet the 2nd is a Orig Anovos with the flat black ears I heard they changed them to be gloss black or cleared over the top for the 2nd run .
I will add some rough pics I quickly took before leaving for work not sure how accurate the actually are for example
EFX - beautiful super sharp lines a little smaller than the Anovos biggest let down is the paint colour why on earth they used this colour I have no idea , was this even a colour on the show seems weird to produce a helmet in this colour when you had access to the screen used ones it's a darker gunmetal than whats on my EFX Vader . The overall feel is very cheap plastic with no lining and terrible weathering which I removed some with alcohol wipes very easily just on the mandibles . There is not a single imperfection as this was mass produced not hand assembeled like the Anovos , I do love the sharpness of all the lines .
Anovos - also a beautiful helmet mine suffers from some wonky weird bowed out ears at the top the paint is better but not on point either overall feel is quality heavy sturdy build mine has a few minor imperfections which I guess adds to the weathered look they went with luckily no finger prints in the clear I've heard some people have had . Mandibles are on point perfectly line up along with the bottom of the visor .
I'm really torn between both I can't decide I actually ordered a in stock supposedly Anovos years ago and got burned nothing for 2 years so I was fortunate to get a full refund my bank did a charge back and I was refunded .
I would love to hear so thoughts all the good and bad cheers
