Which maker's Darth Vader helmet is this?

Can you identify who made this Darth Vader helmet? I've had it for sometime, but don't know it's origins, so I don't know how accurate it is. It looks to be warped on the left throat but don't know if that's accurate or a flaw in the casting. It looks like very well done fiberglassing, but I'm no expert.

I saw them littering eBay a few years back... have absolutely no idea who made them. Looks like a DP recast, very soft features.

I'd say a Fyberdyne recast since he had to fabricate a mount for it....but also the distortion is typical of one of the Fyberdynes.

Sorry SL, I see no Fyberdyne in that helmet at all, unless the guy knew how to correct that helmet's inaccuracies. This comes from something else and more accurate than a Fyberdyne.

I'm 98% sure that it was cast from the DP with a new mounting system. The droop and neck flare was common in higher number DP's. I've seen the mounting system before, but can't for the life of me remember who made it.

So, obviously then, the droop and neck flare are not accurate?

Honestly, with this helmet, I think accuracy is a moot point. It's too far removed from accurate - not changed like the Fyberdyne helmets were, but just soft features, loss of detail and warped.

I stand corrected then...the nose threw me off.

Keep in mind there are warped Fyberdynes but I recall one that wasn't so bad...

Well, I had planned on sharpening the details and fixing the warp, but I wanted to see how close this helmet was because I didn't want to mess it up if it was very close to accurate.

Link fixed. My original pics are no longer there, but there are some pics of the completed helmet in that thread.

Guys,

That is a recast of the Rubie's Fiberglass Limited Edition, but with the mounting system replaced. It was being sold by Homer1138 who was telling people that this was a copy of the ESB stunt helmet.

Ok, well, at least now I know I won't be messing anything up by "fixing" it. Thanks for all the input.
