Which dream prop would you want?

Today's studios don't have the storage space of the old studios. So they either destroy the prop, or (if rented like most costumes) return them to where ever they were obtained from.

A working prop Thompson submachine gun. The 1921A or AC, or the 1928, or the 1928A1. NOT the M1A1. I've got nothing against the military model, I just think the older ones with the big drums and the compensators look sexier. :love
To make this a bit more unique, I'll make my request for a custom model I invented. It's a M1-1928 hybrid with a cut-down barrel and stock to make it more compact. Kind of a Thompson whippit gun.

A pair of REAL Alien Stompers, from Aliens. *Note the poster on the left sports the High boot we've never seen and the illustration on the right has them swapped out for the commercial, mid version.

Would be awesome too! Recently destroyed? By the Skeksis? :)
No really, I didnt know it still exist. Was it in the Henson archives?

I've always wondered what happened to the main crystal but that's heartbreaking. Do the swords still exist in the Henson archives? Those were gorgeous! Did you happen to catch my Dark Crystal 'director's cut' before Henson made me take it down? It's basically a restored version of the workprint but if you're a fan it's a really different and interesting early take.

Dream prop for me would be the Islands of Adventure Jurassic Park Explorer... it's screen used but the park has screwed it up with "restorations" over the years and it looks awful these days. I'd love to work it back into original shape.

Also would love to have the Hero Indy Grail diary. The one that was auctioned at Christies in 2012... *cough cough* ($19k) cough*

The U-boat from Raiders of the Lost Arc
It´s the U-Boat from Das Boot indeed
As for my all time favorite prop to own:
The two music box watches from "For a Few Dollars More"

Oh yes, sure. I knew the workprint before, but seeing it combined with a good print was awesome! Well done!
So Henson made you take it down? I hope thats all you had to do. Heck, they should release the workprint finally!

I'd say even a segment from any one of these would make me happy. Full size would be tough to store and or display for me. Still want a smaller hero kino remote from SGU. Metal Ancient pistol and a opening/closing zat. The Zat like that i've heard are rare and pretty pricey. Wish Kevin's project for qmx would have been produced. we could have had quite a few dreams fulfilled if it had been.

SGU gate room console would also be a dream item. Atlantis lighting pieces would also be high on my list. The ancient decor is awesome but functional.
Full scale Stargate! :)

All threes if possible - SG-1 | Atlantis | SGU

And if they really do dial out to other galaxies.....i will take DHDs too!! ;)

Hey thanks! Henson was cool about it. They didn't want to take legal action - they just wanted that version gone from public view since it was unofficial and didn't represent the movie in a way they liked. The lawyer I spoke with said they'd keep my contact info but probably wouldn't release the workprint version of the film. Bummer!

Great to hear they were cool. But no official workprint? Bummer indeed...

One of the swords is on display with the Skeksis at the Puppetry Museum in Atlanta:

I really really love those swords!!! I always wanted one!

the Naturom Demonto from the Evil Dead Remake

i think it´s impossible to get a close replica from it.

but i start the project last week to make my own version

If I had the money and if it came up for sale, I would want either one of the Ranger Body Armors from the movie Black Hawk Down. I would either want SSG Eversmann or from any of the Rangers in the film. I would love to have one of those if I ever started to get into collecting. If I had the chance, Eversmann's body armor from the film would be my most valued possession.

I always thought that the giant head sculpture that has a small living room inside from scanners would be cool.. they destroyed the original prop in the movie.:cry

Right now my Top 10:
1. A copy of "The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadow".
2. Entire Rocketeer costume.
3. Van Helsing's crossbow from the Hugh Jackman movie.
4. Sweeney Todd's Razors w/box.
5. David Tennant's and Matt Smith's sonic screwdrivers.
6. V's entire outfit from V for Vendetta.
7. Captain America's shield from the Bonds-sales performances.
8. Russell Crowe's armor from Gladiator.
9. Ring wraith costume.
10. Gandalf the Grey's outfit and Staff...as well as probably all the other staves as well.

I realize some of these are already floating around the junkyard I just haven't had the funds since joining the RPF to actually buy any of them...story of my life. Although I am in the middle of constructing a Captain America Shield.
