Which comic book movies do you want to see made?

My vote is for DC's The Spectre (Jim Corrigan incarnation) even though I'm sure it will never happen. Great character with lots of possibilities. Heck, he would even be a great weekly tv show!

What's yours?

I'd love to the see the Question (Vic Sage) made. He's usually a background, minor character, but I in the hands of a skilled writer and director, he could really be intriguing.

I'd like to see some of the more off beat or little known ones. Post Nuke Dick from marvel is one, maybe The Last American. Astronauts in space could be an interesting movie of shorts like with Creepshow. A movie version of Crisis on Infinite Earth's would rock but might be too big for one film. There are some short lived series from the 80s from Marvel that i'd like to see. The Pitt based on the graphic novel would be interesting. I agree some of these would be great shows but I'd have to say if so they need to be made by the folks who did BTAS, Superman the animated series, batman beyond, and justice league.

Doctor Strange might be fun. Surprised they haven't done it given the popularity of Harry Potter.

Silver Surfer done properly, yeah right. keep dreaming.

An old obsure one from Dark Horse Comics called Black Cross.

The only dr strange i've seen was that lack luster cartoon movie. Marvel and animation isn't a good combo like DC/warner bros is.

None, I'm sick of them.

They rarely have a comic book feel to them.

Making them more "real" seems to take something away.

Maybe that's why I like the 66 Batman show so much.

Dr. strange was a made for TV movie in 1978. It wasn't bad, but the effects by todays standards don't hold up so well.:)

I've been waiting for YEARS to see a live-action adaptation of POWERS by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming! :cool

After years of being stuck in Development Hell in Hollywood, Bendis took the rights back and it's now spent the last couple years... stuck in Development Hell to become a TV series on the FX Network. Here's hoping it happens one of these years.

As far as "stuff that'll never get made" dream movie stuff-

An Usagi Yojimbo CG film would rock.

Miller/ Darrow's Hard Boiled in live action and done faithfully would be amazing and impossible.

We3 - This needs to happen.

Challengers of the Unknown or 60's era Doom Patrol.

A 30's period film starring an unarmored Batman. Black and grey fabric style.

A period Superman Film in the 30's would be cool too. Like a live action Fleisher Superman cartoon.

And Jack Kirby's KAMANDI done live action would be soooo cool.

I realize I am in the minority on this but, I was/am a huge fan of CyberForce, especially Ripclaw, from Top Cow. I would love to see either live action or really well done CGI CyberForce or Ripclaw movie. CGI done right would be awesome due to all the tech involved but I would be happy either way.

Darabont's #2 is might be running the show on a potential Powers television program. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

Heh heh.

Well, in that case, I really think there should be an Astronauts in Trouble movie finally made. I'm tired of colectting option money without being able to buy a ticket. :lol

I'm completely opposite of MicDavis on this... I don't get tired of superhero movies and the realism sometimes improves them for me... probably also why I DON'T like the '66 Batman :p

To each his own, right?

I'm just happy they didn't mess up Iron Man (at least they didn't IMHO). There's tons of movies I'd love to see made. Wouldn't mind seeing an X-Men spin-off movie for Angel for that matter. And I know it'll never happen but I've also always liked less popular characters like Nova, the Ray, Dr. Fate, etc. And not to mention I still want to see some good movies with some female characters like Wonder Woman, Catwoman (done in the more noir style), Spider-Woman, Black Widow...

I'll pay to see superhero movies as long as they make them, good, bad or otherwise. I can't help myself :$
