Whats with these reboots?, Spiderman,Superman.

Okay whats the deal with these re-boots or remakes of movies that are just so recent or fresh in the publics mind the main one is Spiderman one of the most sucessful superhero films to hit the screen the actors were dead on Toby, Kirsten, is it that when they run out of story lines they say lets do a redo? I can see with certain films like the Incredible Hulk, and even with Superman Returns which was not that bad atleast Brandon Roth reminded you of Chris Reeves and I would have not thrown in the part of him having a son it was to soon or just distracting from the Main story line. Certain movies should not be remade I heard that they were even thinking of re-doing Jaws, are they out of their minds some movies do need to be remade but let some time pass but some are classics and shouldn't be touched just my opinion.

...and to the topic itelf: Superman has been in dire need of a reboot for decades (Superman Returns should've been a reboot). I am looking forward to this reboot.

Toby and Kirsten are older and Sam Raimi wasn't coming back (and I don't thinl Toby was either). I think the Spider-Man flicks were decent enough... but, I understand that some people have more of a love/hate relationship with them. ...there was a Spidey series in the late 70s/early 80s - so the Raimi flicks might be seen as a reboot itself. I am not looking forward to this reboot.

Captain America might also be seen as a reboot. FF is scheduled to reboot as well (again?).

I guess they're just going to try, try again and hopefully get it right.

OK I wasn't a member at the time so I don't know what was discussed in here. I was speaking to a friend who joined here and he's a an older guy and he posted something and people just jumped down his throat my point is it easier to point this fact out instead of the sarcastic remarks people leave at times instead of trying to crack the case I'm an adult and I don't have time to do the back and forth if I don't like something I don't read it I'm not going out of my way to say something smart I shoot from the hip thats all.

Some folks might say to use the search function... I don't necessarily buy that argument. It's just that your comment has been discussed at length and there have been a great many comments about the reboots - and, well you were a little too broad and and way too generalizing...

One of the things I like best about this board is how people are in here like this one time when I was working on a spacesuit backpack project and I needed some printable vinyl that I could run through a computer printer or a copier or something so I could make my own decals and I didn't even know if they made such a thing I asked hey does anybody know where I can get some printable vinyl and somebody gave me a link right away and I was able to buy some online and I got it within the week. So that was awesome because if you come in to the cocktail party (thats a new thing called a metaphor Im trying out I think thats right) with a question thats respectful of the place and the people who frequent it youll be warmly welcomed but if you act the foo' people gonna treat you like a foo'.
