it all boils down to one thing. no real life payback for typing out what you feel, i.e. keyboard cowboys.

feelings get hurt, items get recasteded again, and generally people fall into "camps" of "im right, you are wrong, and i hope you die".

i think the best ever way to express this is that red vs blue short of "real life vs the internet".

all in all, this place is the same as any club, bar, or general get-together of people in the same hobby. cept in real life if you called someone a recasting ******* you would probably get socked in the jaw. here you just "debates" that rehash old irritations.

There have been a lot more LARGE post count people banned (for good reasons) than there have low post counts (who are usually troll like).

Oh yeah... Post count does not equal worth. I swear, George L himself could sign up here, say "this is how it was done" and youd be all "you have 1 post, you know nothing, no matter who you are."

And i guess thats why people on this board seem to bicker... we all have our own opinions and beliefs, and they dont always match or mesh.

Let's work on that sense of humor big-guy. Many a tangle on the RPF have been due to humorless, fragile pups who jump before taking a second look at things.

Not that I'm pointing fingers or anything. :angel

Lol, i think its more a generalization of the entire internet population.

Its not just here i see that attitude. Actually, mostly, around here I find the most ammount of sanity and maturity. (pissing contests not withstanding)

I wouldn't worry too much about in fighting it's generally the same people digging at each other. If you don't want to get involved in flaming then don't. The people doing the flaming tend to concentrate on each other and are oblivious to all others.

Nobody will get hurt and nobody will die.

The brave guys hurling insults at each other are sitting in their homes with their cup of hot chocolate and pyjamas on, throwing insults at each other from the all corners of the globe safe in the knowledge they will never have to meet each other.

If they do ever meet they should be made to fight to the death for their sins on the RPF :lol

Don't take it too seriously.

I always enjoy a healthy discussion . I think as long as we can all respect each other and enjoy the hobby, that's the main thing. At the end of the day if this forum didn't exist I would still be enjoying my collection. But it is nice to share common interests with this group and I continue to learn a lot from my interactions with many great people here.

That's exactly how I feel. I stay away from the flaming, I have no time to waste on it. I am here to learn about this hobby and I spend enough time reading informational posts that I don't have the time (or patience) for reading any bickering.
