What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

Re: What's on your workbench?

I was seriously considering bringing that up in the looking for a brass caster thread a few days ago.

This really should be a very simple sand cast.

What about the version that was made for the april fools Zelda movie...

They kind of look like gigantic glass bathroom tiles. I have always imagined the triforce as solid gold. Or at least they never appear clear like that to me in any of the games.

would be pretty easy to hit them with a hammered brass or bronze metallic paint along with some other weathering technics, if making them look ancient and weathered would be ok.

Hmmmm...I don't know torchwood, any good?.
This is The Glove of Myhnegon from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Torchwood is a spinoff from Dr Who. The glove he is refering to is just a medieval gauntlet with the power to bring the dead back to life for a few minutes.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Nothing really amazing,it just needs some paint.

This looks fantastic! Got any other shots of it or a website of your other work?

Working on some videogame stuff myself. This is one of Cassandra's shoulder armor pieces from the game Soul Calibur IV

Re: What's on your workbench?

Finally finished it. Still working on the weathering but you get the idea...it's supposed to be old.

OMG! WOW! I love this. There is a lot of amazing work in this thread, but when I saw this I was blown away. I remember seeing it on the show years ago, and think I would love to have one, but never though anyone would ever do a replica of it.

Amazing work.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Thanks Jason! I gotta respond when a Buffy fan speaks up...we are few and far between apparently!

When I started really looking at this piece from the episode I just happened to also be watching some Babylon Five and thought I recognized the same knuckle pieces on the gauntlets that the Giem Aliens wore on that show.
Sure enough, when I contacted Michael Pack and Jason Barnett who made the piece for Buffy, they confirmed that not only did they work on B-5 as well but that the knuckle pieces were indeed recycled from that show.
Funny ole world isn't it? Thanks for commenting!

yes and no. the first two seasons were ok. the last seasons pretty much blew me away though. (Torchwood Children Of Earth)

and not only was it a spin off but also was an annagram? of doctorwho so that people would not know what the script writers were working on and possibly steal the scripts before the hit the studios.

Unfortunately no. I haven't taken any more pics. Just an image of the original wooden sword.

And the design on that shoulder piece is amazing. What did you sculpt it out of?

These are gorgeous. I am no fan of steam punk but love spats. Wish they were socially acceptable :)

Re: What's on your workbench?

Are you going to fill it with creepy little critters! Awesome job, there aren't alot of cool Buffy props out there, I'm a huge fan, and your stuff is incredible!

Re: What's on your workbench?

Thanks Silver!
Yeah, actually I've got a good friend who is a BUFFY freak like me and he's been begging me to start on the spiders that go inside!
I think it will happen but have yet to pull a good screen cap of them for reference.
