What's On My Workbench?

By the looks of that shroud ,it seems someone got off the phone and gave you the extra drive to finish that Shroud :D
It looks great jason :p

That's looking BEAST, J! Can you do me a favor and throw up a profile shot so I can see the whole shroud from the side? Thanks, brother!

Side view of shroud. Its not the right shape...still a lot of sanding to do so it doesn't have such a pronounced curve:

Slapped on some Apoxie on all the dents and dings:

I'm trying to fix the dent above the left eye as well. Once I'm done sanding, this puppy is going to be as smooth as a baby butt all over!

Just curious, Jason. How long have you spent re-furbing that mask? It looks great, I'm just wondering how long you've had this going on, I think it's gonna turn out great when it's all done. I can't wait to see it.

Ya I know it's part of the sculpt but I want mine to be smooth and flawless. I don't like dents :D

As for time spent on it. A out 2 hours dremeling and 2 hours last night adding the Apoxie. I don't usually keep track of the amount of time I spend on anything :p

I look forward to seeing how you paint this bad boy up Jason as I must say I really like your Bio paint ups.

Jason - In my quest for accuracy, I went ahead and went through The Making of Predator, a few more times. I took what I considered to be the cleanest profile image and through some lines on it to point out the angles. Hopefully these help you, as well.

Spent 2 1/2 hours sanding and shaping. I started off with 80 grit sandpaper to cut the resin down to where I wanted it, and then I went over everything with 200 grit sandpaper to make it smooth.

There is a dent above the left eye:

I left the dent on the light grey Bio, but I got rid of it on the black Bio:

Here they are after washing the resin dust off:

My arm is so frangadakin' sore from sanding so much...bed here I come...

that bio is so perfect, i wish you would make a cast of it.
im the same way with body work on the muscle cars and sport bikes i have had.
very nice work, i like your taste.

Thanks guys ;) My brother was in autobody and taught me one thing about it: do it right or don't bother doing it. Its a pain in the ass process, but worth it in the end.
