Whatever happened to the Aliens M577 APC ?

Given the size and extreme weight I am assuming it was scrapped after filming, but have searched and not found anything to confirm/deny that.

I read it was turned back into an airplane tug and returned to duty. One brief starring role and then back to a blue collar job.

I've heard that too, though I understand they stripped a lot of the ballast wieghts out of it, cut the cab roof down, and some other mods that would make returning it to original difficult. The other story I heard, was that the doner vehicle had already been replaced at the airport (Heathrow) from where it came. The only reference I have found is that it was parked at a theater at a premiere in the UK. After that, no one seems to know.
