I dunno... a Japanese WWII Nambu pistol would have worked just as well all greeblied up, and would have fit into the whole WWII UK Sterling SMG/SMLE Enfield/German MG-34/Sturmgewehr 44 deal and may have lent an air of ??? due to the scarcity of the Nambu at the time...
