Hello everyone, I stumbled upon your topic by chance. I'm sharing with you my replica of the mask that I bought maybe 15 years ago. I know it's not perfect, but at the time I didn't see the details that I see today. I'm looking for a new, more acruate version. But I'll keep the one that has sentimental value.View attachment 1931797
Looks like a great mask! And thanks for sharing the museum bit, didn't realize anywhere displayed that.

The closet person I found, besides loki.mask who's gone MIA, is this guy on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maskara.o?igsh=Mmo4bzN6NXoyaWM=

His work is a bit choppy, finger prints on the resin, air bubbles, parts of the mask that look incomplete or scrapped off, but it's not noticeable at a fair distance to be fair

My problem is the paints. None of them seem to suit me. Maybe I'll make a mold of my mask. And then do some research on the paints to get THE mask that suits me. Like I did with the Hocus Pocus spell book, none of them suited me. I also have to finish some customer orders

I get that. Thats why I painted my own, took some trial and error but i finally did it. I found that a mix of forest green, burnt umber, palm leaf green, and some highlights of yellow mixed with orange help. I haven't added any gloss or matte, so this is just straight acryllic. Im actually in the process of making my own mask as well lol. I have the clay and tools ready to go, I'm just procrastinating now because I know how much detail and work I'll need to be doing lol

Very nice painting, I'm gathering reference photos. I was also wondering if anyone has ever used transparent pearlescent or transparent chameleon paint. I would like to try applying a thin layer of it inside to give the magical effect,
