What cartoon was this?

I remember a show coming on after Voltron that had people that would get into ships or robots kinda like mech-warrior. It was usually a guy and a girl. The one thing I remember is that the female robot shot missles from her chest. I was around 5 I think when I watched this (early 80's). I remember the girl thing because 1) I'm a guy and 2) My mom made me stop watching it when she saw it. I thought it was robotech but it wasn't. Any ideas?

Tranzor-Z (as it was called in the states). The original was called Mazinger (or Mazinga). Mazinger's still one of my all time favorite robot designs. Absolutely classic!

bandai makes beautiful metal toys of all of the robots from Mazinger (Tranzor-Z) if you are bored check out HLJ or one of the other japanese import toy sites and search "Chogokin Mazinger" I've got a few in my display cabinet, they are really cool.
