Weekly Mythbusters Discussion Thread

Great finale and reunion show! The Truck plow episode was definitely one of my favorites so I loved seeing the new version. It was probably the only time you'll hear "Get off my window Porsche!" :lol

Watched a lot of Mythbusters are the firehouse yesterday (both TVs had it going) - what a great run it's been, what a lot of fun we've had watching and learning. My nephew is now an avid viewer, too - I just had him watch the cement truck episode a couple days ago and we caught the live show here a few months ago.

Thanks to all those that Mythbusters possible! We'll be following Tested and wherever else you might pop up.

I was a little disappointed they did not have Scottie back for the reunion too.

Grand finale episode was okay but I thought the follow up Reunion Special was the "real" ending. It was nice to see them all around the table and reflect over the years and how (and who) it changed.

Now that there's no more Mythbusters, I'm still curious who's left to pick up the torch and carry the advance of science literacy to the public forward.

No one, because very few people actually care about science. They're too busy watching the self-centered Kardashians, the Real Housewives of Who Cares, and wondering who's going to win the next season of Dancing With the Unemployed Stars. :facepalm

Well, I guess the only thing to say is now that there's no more Mythbusters, Discovery doesn't have to get bogged down with their science-y nonsense and show uninterrupted blocks of Alaska Men, Yukon Men, Bushwacker Men, Ice Trucker Men, Fishing Men all day.

And Mythbusters reruns are going to continue to be aired on the Science Channel, allegedly including a "lost" episode at some point, because the only thing the Discovery Channel is interested in discovering these days is people with unusual and somewhat dangerous careers who also happen to be a bit mental. :rolleyes

Sadly Discovery owns nearly ever channel from A&E to science and TLC so it's the same idiots making up the same shows with new names on each one.
