Weathering Fabric

My Project is the FMJ Joker helmet and I need help making the fabric on my cover look sun damaged and muddy.

I have tried Watered down Brown Acrylic and its not giving me that look.

Someone needs to put this lid through boot camp! You could always wash the fabric with a hint of Javex (will discolor the fabric...be gentle with the amount)...Real brown type of mud will do fine Sand paper for some wear and tear will finish it off totally!

Yea you need to frizz some spots with a razor (scrape it) and as far as the mud....go make some mud and toss it around :-D could mix up some acrylic paint in the mud

Its winter here in Colorado, not much sun anymore. I thought about a UV light for curing nails.

Dilute Vallejo white and brush on a small test area area and let it dry. Repeat as necessary.
