Watchmen props

Is that 18"X24"? I'd love to have a high quality litho of that in color. Also the Normal Rockwood war-bond painting and the Miss Jupiter Hiroshima bomber nose art.

Yes, it's 18" x 24". A full size color print was included with the purchase, so eventually, I'll get it framed.

Does anyone have pics of the Comedian guns yet? I was curious about what the dog tags say.

I took these at NYCC this year:

As far as I can tell, it reads:
EDWARD M BLAKE

MRS KATE BLAKE
3016 WOODROW ST
DURHAM NC P

Looks good,im thinking to get it too,but afraid with regulations etc. How does it look like up close?

The tags in the film don't have the rubber around them, at least not in the Vietnam scene. The tags from that scene are also pretty beat up. I'm not sure about the text.
These may be some sort of ceremonial or commemorative set, though.
I really want a set of those pistols that aren't attached to the base.

I seem to recall someone mentioning that they knew the person that did the pistols for the film....was it mentioned in this thread?

Look closely and you can see that during the flamethrower scene they do have a rubber trim on. The trim is even more visable during the Vietnam Bar scene :)

Hm. I've only seen it once, so I must be wrong. I do have an oversized movie theater poster of the Comedian lighting his cigar with a flamethrower, and it doesn't have the rubber trim and seems to have a nick out of the one tag visible.

It looks like that poster is the only picture where he doesn't have the rubber silencers. Flipping through the Film Companion book the rubber does appear to be on in the 2 pictures of Vietnam Comedian, and also in 1 picture on thenewfrontiersman.net.

RPF Geek Talk = "Rubber Trim"

Actual name = Dog Tag Silencers

availible at ANY surplus store for a few pennies... they keep ya tags from rattling

Yeah, I'd prefer the reality of The Punisher†.

†Pick whatever Punisher you want (all the same amount of suck :lol).

Thanks for the infos everyone:)
btw when buying CAW's M79 make sure you bought the metal barrel too. almost half the price, but well worth it:love

Does anyone have a good screenshot of the "Behind you" sign that Rorshach places in Moloch's fridge? I swear I saw it in either one of the trailers or video journals.

I'm looking to replicate it, I think it had some kind of pizza distributor logo on the back (if I remember correctly from the movie), so it was probably ripped from a pizza box. I've got a few scraps of cardboard around here that could work.

I don't remember exactly where I picked these up, but here's the best I've got. The second one I found somewhere on Flickr taken at the Comic Art Museum exhibit. There are two of them on top of each other in that picture.
