Watchmen props

"Yes, and he also had Molloch and Bubastis."

I know he had all those in the comics, he had them in the movie too?

Damn, just checked that picture of the toy ad from the New Frontiersmen Flickr. This set keeps getting bigger.

Thanks for the help, though, and the quick answer. With Wizard World still going on, that was extremely helpful.

People were comparing it to this

The material and coloring aren't exactly the same but I would guess that the dimensions are pretty darn close. Your collection is definitely coming together. Great job!
I ordered that one when the movie came out and I don't think it's very close. The "Journal" on the front is a similar font, but it's too small to work. I also think Rorschach's is a good bit taller.

could you count Eddie's guns, only because they are custom, with the smilies and etchings on the handles!!
but they have been released allready along with the dog tags.
What about this though

the original NiteOwl mask is on the desk, does that count haha!

I've allways wanted the Kovacs File and the newspapers...hmm

Yeah that would be great to have on a mannequin head.

Has a replica comic of Tales of the Black Freighter ever been released? I'm surprised that didn't happen to coincide with the animated movie...

I agree. We'll have to see what is offered with the DVD.
Personally, I'm waiting to see the Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target ads when the DVD is released to see what will be offered as an incentive from each of them.:love

I made my own using the file that was posted on the marketing site. If you'd like I could send you the file.

I've seen those, but thanks paul. I meant because all the panels are already drawn, it wouldn't be hard for DC to print as an actual comic. I noticed that the Blu-Ray dvds are offering bobble heads at Best Buy and a miniature Owlship exclusive to Amazon.

I don't suppose anyone has figured out what kind of flashlight Rorschach uses, yeah? I've been trying to find good screen grabs, but the combination of it being a dark scene, and the camera always facing the light makes it hard to tell.

Also, before I start chopping up the hand-numbered DCD version, anybody working on a grappling gun kit?

I wanted to create my own little corner of Watchmen history in my office. I fell in love with the golden age heroes and the awesome photography of them. So, I set out to create my own versions of some New York Gazette front pages from the day.

These particular papers don't appear in the film per se, but are representative of the news stories that were likely occurring during the Watchmen Golden age. I really tried to match a specific date with certain character developments (Nite Owl during the heyday, Castro rising, and Jon dying). All the copy is real and readable. The aged effect was done in Photoshop and the papers were printed and framed alongside the team photo.

I have Hi-res versions of these if anyone wants them.

Those look really great valor, except you put his name as Owl Man instead of Nite Owl. Was this intentional?

Heh, crap. Your right. Thanks for spotting the typo (kinda important one too :)

I fixed the files, Let me know if you want a hires of these.

Does anyone have scans from The Art of Watchmen? That has some good pics of a few paper props I haven't seen too much of, like the Rorschach calling card left in the opening montage and others. Can anyone shed some light on these paper props?
