Wasteland Weekend Nuke: Final Pictures Up!

Re: Wasteland Weekend Nuke

I saw the bomb this morning. It was amazing. Excellent work!
Thanks man. It was a great weekend hope you had as much fun as I did!

Here's some pics from Sunday Morning. Unfortunately we didn't really get to bury it so we just piled up a bit of dirt around it.

Once again Sesl, GREAT JOB! This is exactly the kind of set piece I've been wanting to have at Wasteland Weekend for two years now. You executed it even better than I had envisioned. We're proud to have it now as one of our signature props for years to come (assuming we can take good care of it and not wreck it).
Glad you had a good time at the event. I'll probably put up a thread (eventually) showcasing some of the props and costumes from the event. There is a flood of photos and videos beginning to happen so it will take some time to wade through it.
And since your bomb was just to the left of the main stage, it will probably be featured in a lot of the event coverage (it looked really cool at night when our performers were spinning fire right next to it, and it was the perfect piece for our preacher to hold his atomic sermon around on Sunday morning).

I'm glad you liked the end result and I can't wait to see it next year! Feel free to add whatever you'd like to it. Yeah I was there during the fire performers and was pretty cool to see my piece right there. :) Unfortunately I missed the sermon.

I love how well it turned out! How would you suggest making something more like this?

Just start out by drawing what you want out and making the flat patterns for the shell from there. I was thinking about making one of those for my camp ground next year. :lol
