Re: Iron man - warmachine - foam made

When you get the forearms done. Post up how you have them connecting with the bicep. Kinda stuck at that part right now. How hard were the shoulders to do?? I think I am going to try them next.

Re: Iron man - warmachine - foam made

Kal, the shoulders has lot of curves and 45º angles, difficult to glue (I'll used super glue to make it) with 4mm eva and hot glue was impossible for me.

And about the connecting, I'll make a new pieces to help, take a look at the pictures.

Tks.

Re: Iron man - warmachine - foam made

Daniel, it's not recommended to use superglue with foam builds as it does crack and will break apart your pieces. If you can at least use hot glue on the in side edges of the joints that are superglued you may be able to save the part. Not sure if that will work but it might be worth a try. I'd hate to see you go though all the hard work with the superglue just to see your parts fall apart and save you alot of disappointment in the end. You've got beautiful work going on there and I don't want to see it fall apart on you. Best of luck to you.

Re: Iron man - warmachine - foam made

Don Roberts uses Super Glue and his suits have always held up. So I am not sure if that is always the case. I used Hot Glue but plan on using super glue for my next build.

Re: Iron man - warmachine - foam made

I agree totally with you Spartan, but the good thing is that super glues that I'm using was made for EVA only use. This is not usual super glue. Here in Brasil you have the bottle with 500ml (SUPER EVA glue - U$ 12). Do you imagine how expensive will be to buy 500ml of normal super glue, that usual come with 10ml? It also used to glue EVA on shoes, its really flexible. But, I appreciate the advice. :thumbsup
