Aliens Power Loader - 1:1 Build

I wanted to show my build so far. I'm so close to the finish line with this monster and then I have emergency back surgery putting a pause on the finishing touches.

But I'm sure the RPF community will help me get back on my feet to finish the p5000 off.

Now, let's talk about stupid ideas. STUPID IDEA - "Let's make an EVA Foam 1:1 P5000..."

Here is my 1:1 scale P-5000.
I'm converting the STL files into an OBJ and then converting them into a PDO.

Thanks so much to Carlz! Your work has greatly helped me in the crazy EVA foam Cosplay build! I hope you like what you see.

I have videos showing the process (So Far) I'm still building but I thought now was a good time to show you my WIP.

Part 1 - How To Make Templates -

Part 2 - Feet, Cutting & Gluing -

I go through cutting and gluing as well as showing the basic shells of the feet.

Part 3 - Legs and Stilts -

Part 4 - Hips and Thighs -

I build the basic shapes of the hips using EVA foam and foam board. During this video, I used Evo Stick adhesive and hot glue.

Part 5 - Torso / Seat -

I build the basic shapes of the torso and seat using EVA foam and foam board. During this video, I used Evo Stick adhesive and hot glue.

Part 6 - Stilts / Joints -

I build the stilts. During this video, I use hot glue, PVC piping and lots of screws!!!.

Part 7 - Biceps -

I build the basic shell for the biceps. During this video, I use hot glue, foamboard and EVA Foam 2mm, 6mm and 10mm.

Part 8 - Forearms -

CONFUSING PARTS! The bits are all the same but mirrored and flipped! But I got there...I build the basic shell for the forearms. During this video, I use hot glue, foam board, EVA Foam 2mm, 6mm and 10mm and lots of adhesive!

Part 9 - Pinchers -

The part I've been most excited to make... but I don't know why!! I decide to make static pinchers due to time. I might revisit them and add a mechanism to them for movement. I build the basic shell for the Pinchers. During this video, I use hot glue, foam board, EVA Foam 2mm, 6mm and 10mm.

Part 10 - Roll Cage -

Here is what you will need!10x 32mm PVC 135° Pipe Joint8x 32mm PVC T Type 3 Way Water Pipe Joint6x 40mm White Solvent weld Waste pipe Access plug4 Meters of 33mm PVC Waste pipe Cut into:27cm x222cm x220cm x319cm x415cm x26cm x25cm x2Jump to the end:09:06 - All Parts and measurements I build the basic shell of the roll cage. I use a disk saw and that's it!

But THIS HAPPENED!!!!

But, The Build Must Go ON!

I filmed some bits during a test of the torso and thought..."You guys will love this!"It's all working out just as I planned. What do you think of it?

Power Loader Cosplay Build - Part 12 - Paint Job (PT1)

Welcome to Part 12 of my EVA Foam Power Loader Cosplay Build.

In Part 12 - I cover the Power Loader in rubber paint and head to the "Vehicle Workshop" in St Peters Technical Park Jersey. Then with the help of my friend Perry (You need a professional to operate the equipment) the P5000 is hung, undercoated and covered in worksite Yellow! Then I put part of it together to get a feel for the monster of a cosplay!

And my back has gone! Before I get to finish my "Mona Lisa". I'm moving house at the moment and have no room for the build. I'm going to pop her in storage and bring out the build one part at a time to finish the artwork off. I need to add all the silver, red and black.

But... I did put it all together at a little event as a WIP project. Here she is so far -

It would have been an honour for Nick to have seen it. I would love anyone from the film, in front and behind the camera to enjoy this cosplay!
I had one of the model makers of the P5000 pass a tread who gave me the thumbs up on the build, that was cool!
