steady as she goes. Leg harness done. I need to find away to keep this from squeezing my junk at the thighs. I need to cut out some more foam but not so much that the thighs ride higher on the legs. I need the thighs to pull up on the shins to keep them from scraping. Ideas and comments would be helpful.

The arc was changed back to the original design.

Sanding and finishing the thighs tonight. Plastic dip spraying the legs on Saturday.

Re: War Machine Foam Build

Wow, You make it look so easy, I'm jealous. I can't work nearly as fast.
Good job, keep it up!

Re: War Machine Foam Build

You and ZacharyHurst are building your suits SO fast! I feel very much like the old slow-poke in the group! :lol

It's looking REALLY good, man. I'm definitely checking out the leg rig you've got going on, as that's the next step for my build.

Keep it up - I can't wait to see it all painted up! :):thumbsup

love the harness, could you share where you got the harness and how you set it up?

Re: War Machine Foam Build

Concerning the leg harness...

I ll take some pics tonight. I can't say I am finished or completely happy with it. Like I said, I can wear it and walk around, but it is a little tight in the groin. I also don't have the cod build yet and I got to figure out how to get it all secured.

Most of it is webbing, snap buckles, elastic, blue walmart camping pad to pad the inside, and military surplus harness. The suspenders are military issue blackhawk brand and the belt is a standard military surplus item.

Re: War Machine Foam Build

Arms done. Woot!

I put Harbor Freight cheapo LED flashlights in for barrels on the guns. I can turn then on and off from a hole below on the gun. The guns are attached by velcro so I can take them on and off. I also did this so that if the catch or snag, they break loose instead of tear loose.

Shades!
Lookin great, Flat strap bungees, Home Depot, Aisle 11 on left side! very cheap, but amazing strength and elasticity. I used harbor freight leds for my guns to and i cut out an "ammo ejection port" so i could turn them on as well. Also velcroed the side guns on, cause ten yr old boys run into and break things all the time, The similarity is Creepy dude!

Re: War Machine Foam Build

As they say.. great minds lol...

I suppose ten year olds run into things the same way as a bourbon fueled 27 year old would on halloween.

I got to check out these bungees. I am out of elastic and trying to get the legs fitted for maximum mobility.

Torso 95% done. Need to make a few more numbers and letters and attach the ab belt to the torso.

Still trying to get the legs to sit the way I want. I fixed the groin issue and now I am trying to get the shins to seat on the boots properly while still having good movement in the knees. I am going to try the flat bungees and maybe just scrap alot of the harness I made already. It is a learning process.

Re: War Machine Foam Build

Hey Shades!
May I make a suggestion? I have the utmost respect for your work and your shoulders look awesome. However I am lookin at your biceps and It looks like you wrapped your head around them inside out. I mean that literally. If you want to flip them to a more accurate look, Maybe you can look at the pep file for WM bi's. If you print it out and only cut the large parts out you can tape them together and use it as a sweet template for cuttin out the foam, just for an "outer wrap skin" That should make the biceps have the depth and dimension you might be looking for. The silver part looks great! It just needs that raised outer edge look! Your work is really awesome.

Re: War Machine Foam Build

I too have a critique if I may.. please note I LOVE YOUR BUILD.. however the bicep could also be improved upon simply by adding a curved extension to the top of each one.. This nestles under the shoulder bell and creates a seamless articulated look. Checkout my thread for some of the earlier bicep progression pics. Hope this helps...

Re: War Machine Foam Build

Oh yeah, If you figure out the whole " shin to the shoe to the thigh problem" PLEASE tell me how you solved it. I am done with the entire build except for that very issue. I am hoping for that really cool splayed out look for the boots at the bottom of the shins
