War Machine Costume

I was looking into using some of this same type of foam for some large wings I'm going to make, and I was trying to find the "Plasti-coat" that you mentioned, and I can't find it with any amount of Googling, only companies that can do it for you.

Do you mean that you use the same type of rubber vinyl as the Plasti-DIP stuff? Or is there another way that you could use to seal this foam?

Thanks!

I'm in NC too and I get my plasti-coat at Ace Hardware. They have Red, Black, and Yellow. Hope this helps.

He's right, most hardware stores sell the stuff in a can or small quart. I buy mine in large gallon sizes (usually 5 gallons at a time with thinner) you should be warned, the spray stuff is thinned for spraying, so it will take probably 5 or more coats just to get a good skin going. Good luck.

just wanted to share this picture of us at SDCC 2010 i found on a site. :D

saw you at Comic-con. Lookin Good! I hope you took home some prizes at the Masquerade. That pic of you and Kim at the COH picnic is cute!

MasterLe - you're the best man, I heard you rocked the masquerade! Congrats! I was passed out after long days in that hot suit so I missed the fun.

Was that you they showed on G4TV's AOTS?

I think so, I shot a few bumpers with them, but i haven't found anything yet online, then again I've been recovering from the insanity of that convention. :)

Thanks again to everyone who showed up and said hello, It was great meeting everyone in person, so much fun! I wish we could have had more time to talk without being mobbed by picture takers. :lol

hey squid wondering if your AG kits are still available?

Wondersquid, it was nice to finally meet you in person. You have a great suit and I am very jealous on how lite it is. ;)

Great work on the suit wondersquid. It came out amazing!
Hey MasterLe, did you make some alterations to that suit? Other than the nicer paint job, it looks cleaner somehow... Either way, still looks sweet! Both suits!:)

Awesome work...I'm attempting the same using EVA foam. Buy the interconnecting floor foam tiles at Home Depot...$15 for 4 2ft squares. Make the pattern then heat shape where applicable.
