Wanna do Ultimate Warrior and Macho Man for Halloween

Hey everyone. A good friend of mine does a really good Macho Man impression and has decided to be him for Halloween this year. Now, I've always wanted to be the Ultimate Warrior for Halloween, but would never wanna walk around in just a speedo and boots. However, him telling me this made me remember that at one point these 2 characters were a tag team called "The Ultimate Maniacs" and during this time Warrior wore a singlet. Here's a video thats shows their costumes from head to toe:

YouTube - ‪Macho & Warrior - 10/24/92‬‏

And here's a promo for a close up on details:

YouTube - ‪Don't call it a comeback!‬‏

I've already bought a pair of boxing boots on ebay that fit the color scheme perfectly:

I have a friend who is a pretty good artist and enjoys working on things like this. I'm figuring I'll buy a plain red wrestling singlet and have him draw in the yellow parts for the brick details and the symbol.

So what do you guys think? Any advice on where to get either the glasses or the streamers, or anything for Macho Man's costume?

Update everyone!! I've bought just about everything I need, but I still haven't found a decent wig yet. None of them seem to have the Warrior's "look". You'd think it'd be easy considering that its simply 80's rocker hair, but whenever I find one that's close to his style, it's always either jet black or platinum blond. If anyone knows of a wig that has the look (and isn't 100 dollars) please let me know. As for updates, I have the clothes, and all I gotta do now (after the wig) is start "creating" the costume. Gotta draw the design onto the clothes (although I may just tape the logo onto my shirt to save time). I bought 2 XXXL t-shirts that I'm going to cut up to create the streamers. Does anyone know what to do to keep the cloth from curling up so that the "streamers" hang down properly?

Update: Just spent all afternoon and evening doing the steamers. I like the results.

Looking good, here's my version, Halloween 1998 kind of went with the look he had when he came back to WCW and had the whole trench coat thing going on...That one pic is a pic of me and customer's daughter who wanted a pic taken, as her father was a huge Ultimate Warrior fan. The hair is all mine...lol, HEY...it was somewhat still in style then...lol. Had lots of fun and people loved it. Look forward to seeing your updates on this. ALWAYS BELIEVE.......:thumbsup

That is pretty cool so far. Can't wait till you find the right wig and paint your face. You're going to be a hit this year.

Ask, and ye shall receive. I still haven't tried out the face paint yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be a NYCC next week to do a test run (depends on if my friends buy tickets. Not gonna go spending $$ and then they flake out on me). Still gotta shave off the chest hair as well. Also, the sunglasses are because Savage and Warrior wore sunglasses in the promos, but we don't wanna be wearing shades indoors at night. So I suggested the shutter glasses, since they're just as obnoxious lol.

Wait... aren't you wearing Macho Man's glasses?

In the promos they were wearing sunglasses that were painted over in black, then the words "ultimate maniacs" painted over that on one or the others' glasses.

Since I want us to wear the glasses at all times, obviously we can't wear those because then we can't see. I felt the shutter glasses were a nice compromise. My buddy will be wearing the traditional Macho Man red glasses, I'll be wearing yellow glasses. As for face paint, I suppose I need to practice this anyway (though my brother's ex girlfriend may do this for me). I've been cutting my own hair for 9 years now, so face paint shouldn't be too difficult. I'll post some pics later today or sometime this weekend.

Oh man, this is the best thing EVER! I always loved watching the Ultimate Warrior. He may not have been that talented, but man, could he make an entrance.

Guys, NY comic con was a BLAST. I must've had around 100 people take my picture. Seriously. I was interviewed by someone not even 2 minutes after walking in. Once my tag team partner Macho Man arrived then things really escalated. I was breathing heavy and bouncing around, trying to stay at least semi in character most of the day. People were snapping pics of us left and right. When one person would get a pic, there's be at least 3 or 4 people joining in with their cameras. It was great. I honestly did not expect so many people to appreciate my costume, considering he's a wrestler. Sure Warrior had a comic book back in the 90's, but I doubt if anyone else there knew that. Now that I've had my "test-run", I need to tweak some things just slightly. Halloween can't come any faster. As for those promos, I've memorized more than a few of them. And as for running everywhere, I'll be at the Park Slope parade on Halloween night. I'll probably just stay off the side and run up and down the entire parade back and forth the entire night lol. Anyway, here's some pics:
