Wand Company 10th Doctor sonic screwdriver finish discoloration

Hi guys. I'm new to the forums and joined just to ask this question. About two days ago I received my 10th Doctors Sonic Screwdriver universal remote from the wand company. Overall, a great product. However, earlier on tonight I spilled a tiny spot of superglue on the base of the sonic. That had no affect other than removing the 'shine' on what must have been a millimeter of the base. So, being the idiot I am, I tried to remove the super glue. Now I know absolutely nothing about this kind of stuff and now I've screwed up and there's a small brownish spot where the glue was. No bigger than the original spill. Have I totally messed up the finish? Is this just dirt from my hands that I can somehow remove? I understand I've probably screwed up and can't fix it, but still, is there anything I can do to return it to it's former state or at least remove the brown coloring? I managed to remove a small bit before with much scrubbing using my finger (I'm sure some people will read this and just cringe).

Yep, at this point I see to have even scratched off some of the crackles in this small bit in effort to remove the stain. I'm an idiot, and It looks like I've ruined an amazing product. can anyone recommend ways I can cover this spot or at least re colour it to be the same as the rest of the base?

At this point I've just made the brown spot larger. It's so much more noticeable :/ But you're right, I'm sure some one knows a way I can at least over it up :/

If you're interested in rebuilding your wand sonic into an Eccleston or series 2 Tennant sonic, I should have some replacement aluminum bodies available by the end of the month.

So there's a picture of the discoloration. Being the idiot I am, I tried to remove it and scratched the base (although that was before I made this post). As of now, I've painted over the spot with satin enamel paint, just so It's not as noticeable. Obviously, the crackle effect cannot be seen and I'm not sure what else can be done as of now. I'll put a picture of the painted base below:

Sorry for the annoying tint, my phone's camera is terrible. Anyway, not sure what else to do now. Being the idiot I am I forgot to check back to these forums before painting. Still not sure if there's anything else I can do. Still open to any suggestions. I am curious about that conversion into an Eccleston or series 2 sonic,

you could sand out the whole crackle pattern and repaint the whole handle using the crackle paints there are a few threads around on how to go about it

i think he may want to crackle to be the same as david tennants actual prop so question: has the crackle come off, and why not just paint over it, richard and chris may be able to tell you the paint that was used and just paint over it.

At this point, I'm thinking I should just leave it how it is. I messed up, but I think I'll just leave it how it is now instead of risking messing it up more. Could be worse. But I think it my original attempt to remove the stain I scratched away some of the crackle. So yeah, I'll just leave it for now and maybe look into my options later. Anyway, thanks for all the responses :D
